German footnote
"Entwicklung" - слово-паразит німецького наукового стилю. Здається, навіть про собачий пук німецькомовний вчений обов'язково скаже: "цей розвиток подій".

"Entwicklung" seems to be a pet weasel-word of academic German. I have an impression that German-speaking scholars consider their duty to call every event, however small and unimportant, "diese Entwicklung".

Well, in a way "Entwicklung" implies that there are not yet any real results.

Thanks, that might be an explanation. In fact, in English they do use "development" in about the same meaning, but (it seems to me) much less often than in German. Anyhow, "Entwicklung" and similar generic words is a nightmare of an Eastern-Slavic translator (or an editor of translation, which is my case). Just to give you a hint on what the problem is: when somebody goes somewhere, in a my language it is not enough just to say that the person "went" there; it is necessary to specify how the person did it: "flew" if by plain, "floated" if by ship, "rode" if by bus or train, "walked" if on foot etc.

А саарландці взагалі наче східняки, навіть шокають. А що у нас ліплять? Крім західнякізмів якими іноді пхаються недоладу шось не пригадую.
